Delivered by Dr Mark Sujan and joined by Dr Tom O’Callaghan (CEO iheed), this masterclass seeks to explore how AI is transforming clinical processes and work environments.

By focusing on the critical examination of AI deployment in the healthcare sector, we aim to encourage healthcare professionals to evaluate, question, and improve the implementation of AI solutions in their medical practice based on insights from human factors and ergonomics.

Our lead speaker Dr Mark Sujan is a Chartered Ergonomist (C.ErgHF) and Managing Director of Human Factors Everywhere. The company provides ergonomics input to applied research projects and offers consultancy and training in ergonomics across a range of safety-critical industries. Additionally, Dr Sujan works part-time in the NHS as Senior Human Factors specialist at the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB). Dr Sujan was a Trustee of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) and chairs the Institute’s special interest group on Digital Health & Artificial Intelligence. He is a visiting academic at the University of Oxford, a visiting Fellow at the University of Loughborough, and honorary Associate Professor at the University of Warwick.
