Empowering Clinical Research Leaders: iheed at the Forefront of Global Health Conversations

14 Apr 2025

We were delighted to see Dr Kunal Patel, Medical Director at iheed and one of the Travel Health Physicians at Nomad Travel and MASTA Travel Health, share his expertise at Medidata NEXT London recently.

Taking part in the panel discussion, “You Can’t Have Patient Centricity Without Site Centricity,” Kunal explored how sponsors and CROs can better support clinical sites to enhance patient experiences and accelerate trial outcomes.

Drawing on his extensive experience in global health, clinical research, and travel medicine, he spoke about the importance of aligning studies with site demographics and how prioritising diversity and inclusion not only improves data quality but also ensures trials are more equitable and representative.

As part of MASTA Travel Health, one of the UK’s leading travel health networks with over 200 private clinics, Kunal brings a unique perspective on integrating frontline healthcare delivery with research and education.

At iheed, we’re proud to support thought leaders like Dr Patel who are shaping the future of clinical research and public health. Education forms part of this process and thus, we also offer an online MSc in Clinical Research, accredited by the University of Warwick, designed to empower healthcare professionals with the skills to lead and innovate in this dynamic field.

Together, we’re building stronger health systems and advancing global health through research, education, and collaboration.
