Celebrating iheed's Run in the Dark Tradition: Cheers to Our Inspiring Team!

14 Nov 2024

Last night, some of our incredible iheed team did something we’ve come to look forward to every year, they traded their desks for running shoes and took to the streets of Dublin for the Run in the Dark, inspired by Mark Pollock. This is the 7th year that iheed has participated in this impactful event, which raises vital funds for groundbreaking research into spinal cord injury recovery. By now, it’s safe to call this annual run a cherished iheed tradition.

With a few competitive spirits leading the charge (you know who you are!), the race was on! Whether they were aiming for a personal best or simply aiming to catch up with colleagues along the route, each runner brought a little extra fire to the evening. And, not to be forgotten, we even had one honorary little runner, Evie, who added extra charm and cheer to the evening’s atmosphere.

After crossing the finish line, they gathered to enjoy a well-deserved beverage and swap stories of heroic finishes, “close calls” for personal records, and all the laughs that came with running as a team.

The Run in the Dark has grown into more than just a run. It’s a moment of unity, an opportunity to support life-changing research, and a way to celebrate community, resilience, and well-being. This tradition is a reflection of our shared values, our commitment to health and wellness, and our belief in making a positive impact, in and out of the office.

To everyone who took part, congratulations and thank you. You brought not only your passion but also the joy and warmth that make working at iheed such a rewarding experience. Here’s to many more years of running in the dark together, brightening up the streets of Dublin, and supporting the mission of Run in the Dark.

Well done, team!
