Dr Richard Conn


Richard Conn is an Academic Clinical Lecturer in Medical Education at Queen’s University Belfast and a senior trainee in Paediatrics. He completed a PhD in Medical Education investigating the causes of prescribing errors in children. His ongoing research uses complexity assumptions to explore how education can support safer care for both patients and practitioners.

His interests lie in workplace learning, sociocultural theory, and implementation science, in pursuit of the aspiration of better aligning health professions education with the needs of clinical practice. He is an Associate Editor of The Clinical Teacher and a member of the Executive Group of the NIHR Incubator for Clinical Education Research.
