Dr. Deborah Morrison
Deborah is a GP with Special Interest in Diabetes working in Glasgow, Scotland. Deborah works mainly in secondary care outpatient diabetes clinics. She also works with the diabetes inpatient team in a large tertiary referral hospital and undertakes community diabetes work.
Deborah has always had an interest in self-management of chronic disease. Following completion of her CCT in General Practice, she undertook a PhD at Glasgow University. This focussed on digital self-management tools for adults with asthma. Having had a varied clinical career in youth health, addiction services and being a GP partner Deborah has found her passion with diabetes, and supporting her primary care colleagues keeping up to date with the ever-changing field of diabetes is one of the most rewarding aspects of her job.
Outside work, Deborah continues with her lifetime ambition to become fluent in Scottish Gaelic.
