Dr Saudabi Valappil

Dr. Saudabi Valappil, Consultant in Obstetrics & Fetal Medicine, currently working in Corniche Hospital, Abu Dhabi, a tertiary maternity Hospital in the UAE. She has more than 20 years of experience as an obstetrician, starting her journey completing post-graduation in India in the year 2000. She completed higher specialty training in high risk obstetrics & fetomaternal medicine in the UK. Throughout her career, she enjoyed her role as a teacher providing the education, guidance and support to the medical students and junior doctors in their challenging journey ahead. In her current post, she is a core faculty for resident education in Obs & Gynaec and adjunct faculty of Khalifa University Abu Dhabi. She is also part of the education faculty for Practical Obstetrics training (RCOG PROMPT and ROBUST courses) in the UAE. Since November 2021, she has been tutoring for the RCPI OBGYN Diploma program and finds it as an exciting opportunity to educate remotely. Outside the profession, her other interests are gardening, reading and traveling. She is excited to be part of this project and hopes that her vast knowledge & experience in the specialty gained from different geographical regions would help her to fulfil her teaching role effectively.
