Dr Liam Townsend

Dr Liam Townsend graduated from Medicine at Trinity College Dublin in 2013. He is dual-trained in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine. He was awarded a PhD in Immunology from Trinity College Dublin in 2021. He is currently a Specialist Registrar in Infectious Diseases in St Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. He has previously sat on the World Health Organisation’s Long COVID working group. His active research interests include the immunological changes occurring following infection and their relationship with clinical phenotypes.
