Dr Lisa Kiely has an honours Bachelor degree in Physiology from the University of Galway and an honours Bachelor degree in Postgraduate Medicine from the University of Limerick. She is an adjunct clinical lecturer with University College Cork and has a masters in clinical education from Queens University Belfast.
She is currently a Dermatology Specialist Registrar and was awarded the prestigious Irish Clinical and Academic Training (ICAT) Fellowship. She has 29 peer-reviewed publications and 30 first author presentations at both national and international meetings. She has received a number of awards and scholarships from institutions including the Irish association of Dermatologists and the American Contact Dermatitis Society.
She has a subspecialty interest in connective tissue diseases and machine learning methods in dermatology. She is currently undertaking a PhD in University College Cork exploring novel methods of imaging in morphea. She is also a sub-investigator on a number of clinical trials investigating novel treatments for the management of moderate to severe atopic dermatitis.
