Dr. Eimear Duff
Dermatology Specialist Registrar
Dr. Eimear Duff is currently a Specialist Registrar in Dermatology at University Hospital Limerick. Her current role involves managing both adult and paediatric dermatological presentations. This is delivered through a combination of outpatient clinics and an acute consult service within a large tertiary referral centre. She also performs regular dermatological surgery sessions.
Dr Duff is a medical graduate of Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, where her academic record was punctuated by numerous accolades, including the prestigious Trinity Foundation Scholarship, and Gold Medals in both Paediatrics and Medicine. Her pursuit of excellence led her to pursue a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Trinity College Dublin, where she graduated at the top of her class in 2019.
Dr. Duff further honed her leadership and management skills at prominent International Global Health Institutions in Geneva, and Washington D.C.
While completing her internal medicine training at St. James's Hospital Dublin, Dr Duff attained membership of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. With an unwavering commitment to medical education, Dr. Duff regularly delivers dermatology education sessions to both undergraduate and postgraduate students. She completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Clinical Education from Queen's University, Belfast.
Dr. Duff is active in clinical research and has multiple publications in international dermatology journals. She has previously contributed as a sub-investigator in a clinical trial on atopic dermatitis at the Wellcome-HRB Clinical Research Facility at St James's Hospital, Dublin. In 2023, Dr. Duff was awarded the City of Dublin Skin and Cancer Hospital Charity grant for her research into improving scabies control in the South-West of Ireland.
