Berbie Byrne

Berbie Byrne graduated from GEMS Medical School at University of Limerick in 2016. She completed her medical BST at University Hospital Limerick, achieveing membership of the Royal College Physicians of Ireland in 2019. She developed and fostered an interested in Dermatology as a medical student with multiple publications and presentations on her dermatolgoy research presented both nationally and internatioanlly. After working as a dermatology registrar, Dr Byrne commenced the Dermatology HST Training programme in 2021 and she has since worked in multiple dermatology centres nationally. In 2022, Dr Byrne successfully received an overseas scholarship from the City of Dublin Skin and Cancer Hospital Charity, to undertake a 3 year part time Masters in Dermoscopy and Dermato-oncology at the University of Graz in Austria. Dr Byrne continues to work full time in Dermatology along side her masters and research work. Dr Byrne will be soon joining the dermatology department at the Children's health Ireland in Crumlin to gain further experience in a paediatric tertiary centre.
