Dr Lauren Knight is a dermatologist that specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology across all ages in Cape Town, South Africa. She obtained her undergraduate as well as Masters qualifications from The University of Cape Town before going onto completed her specialist Dermatology training at the University of Cape Town with Rotations at Groote Schuur Hospital as well as Red Cross Children’s Hospital. Having invaluable experience, across all ages, races and a multitude of cultures, trained by experts in the field has equipped her with the ability to manage a multitude of skin conditions aptly. In addition she has been published in a number of peer-reviewed scientific journals and presented at international congresses. Accolades include winning best young dermatologist researcher in 2021. She is a member of the Dermatology Society of South Africa as well as the South African Society for Dermatological Surgery. Dr Knight prides herself in the practice of evidence-based individualised dermatology. She enjoys working with her patients not only to treat and hopefully cure their conditions where possible, but also to lessen the burden the conditions may be placing on them. Dermatology is her passion and she thoroughly enjoys teaching and engaging others on dermatology.
