Dr Grit Scheffler-Ansari
Dr Grit Scheffler-Ansari obtained her PhD in Medical Sciences from the University of Aberdeen in 2013. Grit has a Master’s degree in Clinical Neuroscience from University College London’s Institute of Neurology and a BSc in Psychology from the University of Portsmouth. She has worked on a variety of qualitative and quantitative research projects, covering topics such as the feasibility to use non-invasive brain stimulation as a potential therapy in young people with cerebral palsy, using mobile phone technology to support people with depression living in rural areas of Scotland, investigating medical graduates’ preparedness for practice (funded by the General Medical Council), and evaluating psychological interventions for emotional support around the time of a diagnosis of multiple sclerosis. Grit has worked for the Royal College of Physicians as a systematic reviewer on several NICE clinical guidelines. She also has a keen interest in neuropsychology and brain injury and has worked with charities such as Headway and the MS Society. Grit has experience teaching students and professionals.
