Ioana Margineanu
Dr Ioana Margineanu (MD, PhD) is an internal medicine physician with a Marie-Curie PhD in tuberculosis, digital transformation, quality of life, and vulnerable populations.
She graduated with an average of 9.8/10 from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania, and, during her internship, in 2017 received a position within a Horizon 2020 Marie Curie consortium based in the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen, the Netherlands. In 2018 she was in the board of the Groningen PhD association, in 2019 she became the chair of the Groningen medical PhD students. In 2021 she became the project manager of the consortium. Since 2018 she has been the secretary of the Union TB and Migration Group.
Ioana believes in a holistic approach to research, evidenced by the wide breadth of research studies she has performed: systematic review and meta analysis, qualitative research, statistical modelling, observational and clinical trials. She also understands the ins and outs of academia, from academic organisations are structured, to publishing strategies and can't wait to impart this knowledge further.
