Lauren Van de Merwe

Lauren Van de Merwe RN, BScN, MN is a Registered Nurse who has 9 years experiencing working with a wide range of individuals suffering with Mental Illness. She currently works as a Crisis Nurse in an acute care Hospital in Toronto, Canada, working with patients that present in crisis to the Emergency Department as well as providing on-going outpatient support to patients with Mental health issues in an Urgent Care Clinic. She has experiencing working with Child and Adolescents in an inpatient and outpatient setting as well as those suffering with Addiction and Concurrent disorders. With a passion for teaching fellow nursing colleagues, she has longstanding experiencing teaching nursing students as well as being a presenter at Grand Rounds. She is excited to have the opportunity to pass on her knowledge and experience to contribute to the Masters of Nursing (Mental Health Care) program.
